Stephenie Meyer On That Rumored 'Breaking Dawn - Part 2' Credit Sequence

It's hard to believe, but the end of "The Twilight Saga" is very near - but don't shed any tears. Author Stephenie Meyer sure isn't, at least not yet.
"Breaking Dawn, Part 2" opens November 16, and as MTV News prepares to sit down for the last round of interviews with cast, the woman who started it all spoke with us about seeing the final film at last, whether the saga may in fact continue, and why she's a little overwhelmed at the moment.

MTV: Hi, Stephenie! "Breaking Dawn: Part 2" is almost here. Are you ready to take your victory lap?
Stephenie Meyer: [laughs] I don't think the term "victory lap" has ever entered my mind. In sports terms it's a hurdle. We've got one more hurdle to jump in this area and then I have to go on to different ones.

MTV: Have you taken any time yet to reflect on this being the end of the franchise?
Meyer: I've been carefully not thinking about it that way because I don't want to be sad yet.

MTV: When did you see the final cut of the film?
Meyer: Monday [October 22]. It was the first time I've seen it with all of the effects in place. It had a lot of impact. Also, all the music was in, which really impacts the emotion of it.

MTV: Did you find yourself getting a little emotional while watching the end?
Meyer: Yeah. There's no way not to [be emotional] with the end of this one. [Director] Bill [Condon] has a very good sense of how to really wring your emotions. He put the end together in such a way that I don't think you cannot have a moment. I can only imagine the fans will really appreciate that moment of reflection.

MTV: Kellan Lutz recently said there's a special bonus scene during the credits. What can you say about that?
Meyer: That's actually incorrect. What they've been talking about will be in DVD extras I assume but it's not in the credits. There is no extra scene.

MTV: Of course the fans are very excited to see Kristen's interpretation of Bella as a vampire at last.
Meyer: It's subtle and yet kind of amazing. She's very self-possessed the way she holds herself. She's a completely different kind of character.

MTV: Meanwhile Robert Pattinson has been describing the vampire sex in the film as "ridiculous" in recent interviews.
Meyer: Yeah I saw that. I think he was talking about how it was so hard to keep a straight face [during that scene]. For the actors, there are 40 people in the room and most of them are inches away from you. It's a kind of awkward menage-a-forty going on. I think when you see the scene it's a testament to their acting ability that you don't see any of that in that moment at all.

MTV: Are you happy with the changes that have been made from the book?
Meyer:There is an element we had to change to make it more visual. The changes give us a bigger story. It's something that me and [screenwriter] Melissa [Rosenberg] came up with over one long dinner in Vancouver. Once we had figured out how we wanted to do it everything really fell into place.

MTV:Can you shed some light on the recent reports that the studio is exploring a continuation of the franchise? Have you discussed more 'Twilight' with them?
Meyer: I haven't. I've had no conversations to that effect at all. I've seen a couple things about it but it's really not anything I've heard about personally.

MTV: Are you open to more films or TV that would continue the story? Or would you rather any stories begin as books?
Meyer: I don't know. For me I have a very different agenda [than the studio]. It seems like that there should be some time, a resting period before that kind of thing comes up but I know they have a different way of looking at things and I'm sure it will be discussed. I'm always open to conversation. Generally if it's going to be characters that I like, I'd like to read about them first. But that's because I'm a book nerd.

MTV: Will you be getting into a writing zone once this promotional period is over?
Meyer: Hopefully. It's a challenge right now. Actually right now I'm working on my Halloween costume and I totally bit off more than I can chew with it.

MTV: What is it?
Meyer: I don't even know if I'm going to be able to wear it. It's going to be like sixty pounds on my shoulders. I'm a mermaid being carried by a pirate in a treasure chest.

New Breaking Dawn Part 2 stills plus an interview with Bill Condon where he reveals the running time!!

MTV have shared new stills from Breaking Dawn Part 2 with us today, as well as an interview with Director, Bill Condon! Read it - and see the new images - below:
MTV's Fall Movie Preview continues in conjunction with "Twilight" Tuesday to bring you brand spankin' new images from "Breaking Dawn -- Part 2". Our fancy new photos feature more new vampires along with a swoonworthy shot of Edward (Robert Pattinson) looking postcard perfect.
And that's not all, we've got a double dose of "Twilight" goodness with a few juicy details about the film straight from director Bill Condon, during which we learned the official running time, which vampire power has the coolest visual effect and why the film's climax will take your breath away.

MTV News: How are you feeling? What stage of the post-production process are you in?

Bill Condon: We're at the stage of mixing and doing color timing and adding that last big bunch of visual effects shots, and that's where it gets complicated because the [most challenging] ones always come in last, so it's just making sure that they look as good as they can, that's the big thing right now.

MTV: Is there one specific FX shot that you're particularly pleased with?

Condon: Oh man, there are so many that are so beautiful. I love the way, it's very creepy, but I love the way that Alec's mist looks. He has that mist that can make you blind, deaf and dumb, so that's looking really good. It feels like the best Hammer [horror] movie you've ever seen. It's a little different [type of mist] and sort of has tentacles that can get inside you and all that stuff.

MTV: I'm so excited to see all the powers! I spoke with Mackenzie Foy recently, the most adorable person the planet, and she talked about how she had fun filming her "power scenes."

Condon: I know, she's adorable, right? Her power, she touches somebody and she can show them what's in her head and that you develop. There are some visual things, but a lot of that is done through Carter Burwell's score, but then just recently in the mixing Dane Davis, who is a brilliant sound designer, he did "The Matrix" and so many other movies, he had her just speak and read poetry and things like that, and he's turned it into hundreds of tracks. You don't actually hear words but it becomes the chattering of her [voice], it's a very abstract effect that I've never heard before. It's really cool.

MTV: In the last stages of mixing and production, is there something that during filming you liked but have come to love in seeing onscreen?

Condon: There's a lot of that. I would say the whole climax, I feel like it's the biggest musical number I've ever directed. It does feel, when you finally get the rhythm of that right, it makes it, I hope, very satisfying.

MTV: What was the biggest, busiest most fun day on set?

Condon: The biggest and most fun, just because of the surprise they pulled off, we went to the top, top, top as far as you can get in this arena to get the widest shot of the [battle]field with the Volturi on one side and the Cullen group on the other and on the last take suddenly you hear the Eurythmics and they all start to do this intimately choreographed dance that they'd worked out. It was a huge day and the biggest party ever.

MTV: Well we can only hope that that ends up on the DVD.

Condon: I think it is, yeah.

MTV: Have you made any more decisions about the soundtrack? You have so many musicians in that cast.

Condon: Oh yeah, that's interesting. I don't know if I'm allowed to talk about it yet but we've just now finally firmed it up so that's exciting.

MTV: How about the running time? Is that official yet?

Condon: Yeah. The running time is one hour and 56 minutes, one minute shorter than the first one and as such, I think the shortest of all of them.

MTV: We talked about the biggest and busiest day, what about the most quiet, emotional moment?

Condon: There are a lot of those, I would say. ... I don't want to talk about one scene because that's a surprise but you know what, the scene when Charlie meets vampire Bella for the first time and then meets Renesmee. This is a movie that really only has one fully human person, if you treat Taylor [Lautner] as a magical creature, so Charlie is our way into this whole thing. If Charlie can believe it and understand, I think the rest of the audience can too. Of course, Billy Burke is such an incredible actor who can really humanize any moment, so watching him and Kristen together in that scene, I remember everything was a total pleasure in that.

MTV: It's a little ways off yet, but have you planned a vacation?

Condon: [Laughs] My idea of a beach holiday is going to New York for two weeks, just going and hanging out. I think I'll do something like that.

MTV: What advice do you have for the fans on how to pass the time before the movie comes out?

Condon: Oh that's an interesting question. There's a slight surprise with the score. [They should] listen to all the old CD's of all the composers [of the other "Twilight" films], maybe that, refresh themselves on the different themes.

Robert Pattinson's Cosmopolis Wins MTV's 'Movie Brawl'

As many of you are aware from our overly-obsessive Facebook-ing and Tweeting,
(er, sorry about that ~ Jess)
Robert Pattinson's Cosmopolis was involved in an 'MTV Movie Brawl' with "The Hunger Games" to figure out the film you're most excited to see in 2012.
Well..... here are the results:

Therefore I am proud to say that....
COSMOPOLIS HAS WON!!!

Josh Horowitz from MTV was the one who broke the news to Paul Giamatti.
(Benno Levin in Cosmopolis)
Check out his reaction below!

Cosmopolis was actually an MTV wild card entry in the beginning - meaning it wasn't even on the initial list MTV had - and was nominated into the competition.
It soon beat Rob's other film, Bel Ami (by only 3 votes, might I add!) before taking out Breaking Dawn Part 2 and The Dark Night Rises in order to get into the final - where it met it's rival - The Hunger Games.
Voting between the two movies was tight - with the leaders changing from hour to hour and only managing to get a lead of 0.1 or 0.2% before dropping again!

But Rob's fans prevailed!
Are you proud??
thanks again, Robsessed. I love this gif :)

Now if only we could get a trailer...lol

Here's how MTV announced the win;
The final buzzer has sounded, the brawl for it all is over, and Robert Pattinson is the last man standing: "Cosmopolis" has won MTV Movie Brawl 2012. His indie drama made for one hell of a Cinderella story in the vote-driven tournament to pick the must-see movie of the year. Entering the bracket as a #4 seed (following an impressive showing in the play-in round), "Cosmopolis" appeared to be facing an unavoidable Elite Eight ouster. What were the chances Pattinson's cerebral film about a young finance wiz taking a day-long limo ride though New York City would beat "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2"?

Apparently pretty good. Fans banded together, choosing to support RPattz's post-vampire career rather than the franchise that made him a star. "Breaking Dawn" was sent packing. And so, after easily fighting off "The Dark Knight Rises," "Cosmopolis" came to face "The Hunger Games," a brand-new franchise that had waltzed through the tournament and seemed to be the odds-on favorite to win the whole tourney. But it was not to be. After more than 3 million votes and a slew of lead changes, Pattinson's film beat back Jennifer Lawrence's series to become the undisputed champion of the Movie Brawl.

Hours before voting closed Monday afternoon (January 23), with "Cosmopolis" staking out an insurmountable lead and the MTV Movies team at the Sundance Film Festival, we broke the news to Pattinson's co-star, Paul Giamatti, that their film had won the tournament. "Holy cow, that's astounding!" he said. "The fact of that is amazing. ... That's a really cool thing that it brings that visibility to that movie." It's been a whirlwind few weeks in the tournament, so we'd like to thank all the fans who voted. The Brawl broke bigger than we could have ever hoped. Well over 5 million votes were cast. The competition spread wildly over Twitter and Facebook. Our comments sections caught fire as fans debated, argued and rallied. In the end, though, only one film could stand as the undisputed champion of the MTV Movie Brawl.

Pattinson, Giamatti, director David Cronenberg and everyone connected to "Cosmopolis" — we salute you!
All that's left for me to say now is... WELL DONE!
You have made Robert Pattinson proud and proved our fandom is still going strong! :)

Thanks to Robsessed for the screencap and link to the video ;)

Evanescence want to be included on the ‘Breaking Dawn’ Soundtrack!

MTV has the latest scoop from the band Evanescence, who, it turns out – really, really want to be included on the upcoming Breaking Dawn soundtrack.
Frontwoman Amy Lee explained how she got into the first Twilight book and was soon a big fan, but unlike the rest of her band, she’s Team Jacob. Check out the interview below: (US Only)

(Twilight mention happens at about 4:20)

And, as they told MTV News after the premiere of their new song “What You Want”, scoring a slot on the upcoming “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ soundtrack is definitely a goal this time out.
“I’ve been screaming for [new song] ‘My Heart Is Broken’ to land in that, because I think it would fit the story so well,” drummer Will Hunt said. “I got sucked into the ‘Twilight’ vortex by the girls at home, so by default, I’ve got to watch it.”
“I think that would be awesome, actually,” frontwoman Amy Lee added.
It’s not like Evanescence haven’t tried to get on a “Twilight” soundtrack in the past, but for whatever reason, it never panned out. And it was because of those early attempts that they’d love to be included in the next film. … Simply put, Lee has become invested in the story, and she’s not afraid to admit it.
“Fine, I read the books; everybody hates me now,” Lee laughed. “I didn’t watch the first movie — I was like, ‘Yeah, whatever. I got over vampires in high school’ — then they were like, ‘Maybe you should write a song for the movie,’ so I read the book and I wrote some songs, and it didn’t work out because they have all these cool hipster people that are doing the ‘Twilight’ stuff. But then I was kind of into it, so I read the next books.”
And after reading the books, Lee actually found herself at odds with her bandmates, most of whom are avowed members of Team Edward. Seems she’s got a soft spot for the frequently shirtless werewolf, though not for reasons you’d probably expect.
“Jacob [is my favorite], for sure,” she said. “He’s the good guy, he’s the sweetheart.”
Read can read the full story at over at MTV.

So, do you think Evanescence would be a good choice for the soundtrack?
If so, what do you think of the title "My heart is broken"?
Could it be an Edward song? Jacob? Bella??
As most of you already know, Stephenie Meyer herself has used some of their older songs as inspiration whilst writing the books, so I'm sure she'd love to have them on board!
Let us know in the comments below!

Ashley Greene & Kellan Lutz Reveal Potential ‘Breaking Dawn’ Blooper Reel Material!

Once word got out about our exclusive Comic-Con Q&A with the cast of “Breaking Dawn,” fans took to Twitter in droves to ask for the inside scoop on everything from behind-the-scenes gossip to the vampire stars’ preferred brand of body glitter! But when we sat down with Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz, there were two questions that really stood out…and garnered a couple surprising answers.

First on the list: a “Breaking Dawn” blooper reel! Is this an Actual Thing we might see on the DVD?

Sadly, the stars couldn’t confirm—but if there is such a reel, Ashley knows exactly which behind-the-scenes shenanigans she’d most like to see on it.

"We kind of pulled a prank on the director," she explained. "The whole entire extended cast—like, every vampire coven—decided to plan out this dance, and do it instead of doing the scene."

We'll put in a pause here, so that everyone can gape in slack-jawed awe at the image of a thousand sparkly vampires doing the Tootsie Roll (or, even better, their own version of "Thriller"!) And Ashley revealed that their impromptu choreography had the desired effect: "Bill [Condon, the director] started hysterically laughing," she remembered. So if there is a blooper reel? "I think that would definitely be on there."

And now, the question on everyone's mind: do the "Twilight" stars ever google themselves, or read about themselves on Wikipedia?

"Oh, I have to read my Wikipedia page," Ashley said. "Because some people like to go on, and put untrue facts about you on it."

And while we'd ordinarily go on to ask who would ever do such a ghastly thing, Mr. Kellan Lutz's gleeful evilgrin leaves little question as to the identity of the culprit.

"What are you talking about?" he asked. "And how are your three kids doing?"

Should Kellan be punished for his nefarious Wikipedia-defacing activities? (Of course he should! Now who wants to spank him?)

Actress Donna Scott Says RPattz Was 'Genuinely Shy' In 'Water For Elephants' Love Scenes

"We've heard plenty of details from Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson about their steamy scenes in the sweeping, circus-centered love story "Water for Elephants," but would you believe that there is yet another lucky lady who got to steal a few kisses from Rob during filming?

Meet lovely actress Donna Scott, who plays saucy burlesque dancer Barbara in the film, and takes it upon herself to deflower Jacob (RPattz), so to speak.
"It wasn’t that much of a stretch for me," Donna told Hollywood Crush about getting into character. "I tend to be somewhat bawdy everyday in my real life, and I’d been doing pole-dancing for a few years," she revealed. "I went in to read for [director] Francis Lawrence and I told him, 'I am a level four pole dancer, and I don’t have a problem learning how to twirl tassels on my boobs for this movie.'"
Donna went on to say that Barbara is a tour de force who specializes in seduction—particularly that of innocent young men who join her circus troupe, which brings us to the subject of Donna's kissing scenes with Rob.
"I love that I got paid to kiss Robert Pattinson and he wasn’t sick," Donna said, citing Reese and Rob's admissions of runny noses during their scene. "He was very sweet. He’s genuinely shy," she said.
Donna explained that during the scene where her character is performing her burlesque dance and takes her top off to "twirl her tassels," Rob was particularly taken aback.
"When I did it, I turn around and take off my top, his face was, I think, very genuine," she recalled. "He’s like, 'Oh my God, am I really seeing this?' In my opinion, he was a little bit shy about speaking to me in the makeup trailer for a few days after that day," she added with a chuckle. "It was a little bit hard for him to look me in the eyes. It was so genuine."

Awww. How cute is that? Little shy RPattz is uncomfortable around naked women. Adorable!"

Peter Facinelli on 'Wet And Cold' Breaking Dawn Wedding Day

Unlike co-star Robert Pattinson, Facinelli has yet to wrap his work on the "Twilight" saga.

"I still have another two weeks of second-unit stunt work, so for me, it doesn't feel quite done yet," he said. "I haven't really had that moment of remorse or blues, you know, the blues of finishing. I'm in the midst of still finishing myself."

Regarding a few key scenes that his co-stars have mentioned — specifically the Taylor Lautner vs. Kristen Stewart fight scene — Facinelli agreed that seeing the much smaller Stewart take on Lautner was entertaining.

"Oh yes, I was there for that," he said. "[It was] very funny. ... But you have to kick his butt a little bit," Facinelli added about the idea of Lautner's character Jacob imprinting on Bella and Edward's daughter Renesmee.

Although he couldn't go into too much detail, we asked Facinelli to describe the heavily hyped wedding scene for us.

"Beautiful and spectacular," he said. "It's funny, because whenever we have a big important scene on 'Twilight' [movies], it rains. I was doing the baseball sequence [from 'Twilight'], and it was raining. But you never see it on film," he said of the filmmaking crew's movie magic. "With this wedding, it rained the whole time we shot the two scenes. But you'll never see it on film, they block out the rain. They put tarps up and you'll never see it. But for us, it was very wet and muddy and cold."

Jacqueline West, WFE Costume Designer, Talks About Rob's Underwear!

From hollywoodcrush:

From a dapper black tux to grungy combat boots, Robert Pattinson dons plenty of handsome looks in the upcoming flick, “Water for Elephants.” So, really, who would have guessed that his pièce de résistance on set was none other than 1930s-style underwear!

Yes, that’s right. Period underwear. Rob had to wear them to get in character for “WFE,” and apparently he was a big fan, according to costume designer Jacqueline West.

“He loved that I had period underwear for him,” she told Hollywood Crush recently (no doubt sparking the envy of girls EVERYWHERE). “Yes, and he loved putting that on every morning before he put his costume on, you know, he said that in his trailer, and he said it made him, it transported him to the ’30s. He said he got out of bed feeling like a different person.”

The underpants, along with his other period costumes, helped Rob step into the role of Jacob Jankowski, a vet student who joins the circus during the Great Depression after losing his parents, Jacqueline shared.

“I can see Rob, who is very languid, he’s very modern in his movements and he’s very cool. I could see him sort of kind of become Jacob and become a ’30s young man, who was, you know, gonna work hard to carve an existence in this circus,” she said.

Sorry, we’re still stuck on her description of languid, modern and cool Rob.

Sigh. Okay, now moving on.

Jacqueline also added that Rob, who was “manlier” than she expected (more on that next week!), carried the clothes very well.

“He would wear clothes so beautifully and you would see kind of a transformation, you know. If he put on those World War I combat boots, his work boots, you can see him stand differently. And I could tell, Rob would say, ‘Oh, this really feels right. This feels great.’”

As for whether or not Rob’s undies make a cameo in the film, Jacqueline hasn’t seen the final cut to know, so you’re just gonna have to wait until the movie comes out on April 22 to find out!

Jamie Campbell Bower talks Breaking Dawn & Kristen as a vampire

Jamie Campbell Bower was thrust into the world of "Twilight" as Caius in "New Moon," and he'll be back vamping it up in "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" next year. And the actor admits that as he preps to return to the "Twilight" set in 2012 for the final "Twilight Saga" movie, fans of the franchise will get to see just how bad Caius and the rest of the Volturi are.

"Well, [director] Bill Condon, he brings something wonderful and a sort of theatricalness to the whole film," Bower explained to MTV News when he stopped by to talk about his new Starz series "Camelot."

"The film itself, it's much darker than the first three. It's got a grittiness to it. From our side, the Volturi side, you really get to find out how messed up these characters are and just how badass they are," he said. "We're really evil people. I was always like, we're not evil, we're trying to keep it cool, but they are nasty blokes. So from us, you get to see how screwed up we are. That was great fun to play, just screw about on set and do as much as possible and be theatrical."

Much of the chatter about the final films in the "Twilight" series revolves around Kristen Stewart's turn as vampire Bella, and from one vamp to another, Bower has nothing but praise for her performance. "She's great as a vampire," he said. "I think she's perfect and they did a great job casting those movies.

"Again to be a part of something that is such a success and has influenced so many different things, I'm really honored to be able to do that," he added.

MTV First: Robert Pattinson's 10 best MTV quotes

Anything could happen during “MTV First: Robert Pattinson,” our live chat with the “Twilight” star on Friday. He did, after all, once drop two curses in less than two seconds during a live interview with us on the “Eclipse” red carpet. There’s no telling what might pop out of RPattz’s mouth during the live, 30-minute interview.
Whatever does happen, though, you can count on it being entertaining. In his own kinda awkward, always endearing way, Pattinson has a knack for delivering memorable sound bites. As we count down the days until “MTV First: Robert Pattinson” at 8:56 p.m. ET on Friday, we plucked out our 10 favorite quotes of his, ranging from those strange days when RPattz wasn’t yet a household name to recent comments about a “Breaking Dawn” photo of him in bed with Kristen Stewart.

10. “This is the first time, really, that I’ll be confronted with a bunch of Twilighters. I guess I can see for myself. But I’m kind of nervous about it.” — At Comic-Con in 2008

9. “The worst part is you’ve got to work almost every single day, which is something I’m never going to get used to.” — On the downside of being Edward Cullen, at the Los Angeles premiere of “New Moon”

8. “I didn’t see Taylor until just a little bit before we started shooting. When he came back, I had the same reaction as everybody else. I was like, ‘Jeez, now I have to go to the gym!’ — Speaking to MTV Radio about seeing Taylor Lautner’s pre-”New Moon” physical transformation for the first time

7. “It made me feel really tough, really hard. I don’t think I’ve ever won a fight in my life.” — On winning Best Fight with Cam Gigandet at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards

6. “To be honest, I should’ve been nominated in a few more categories.” — On “New Moon” only receiving five noms at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards

5. “Before ‘Twilight,’ I did any movie that I got [offered], and you’d try and make the best of it afterward. But now you’re expected to come into the movie and provide not only economic viability, but also a performance as well. You can’t just mess around. People are like, ‘We’re employing you to be here, as a star and an actor.’ It’s difficult, and it’s scary.” — On the pressures that come with superstardom.

4. “The idea of kind of doing this big romantic kiss, like Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams did [for 'The Notebook'], I couldn’t do that. I’d be so embarrassed! So I just thought, ‘We better do something dumb.’ But then Kristen didn’t want to do something dumb!” — On his awkward smooch with KStew while accepting the win for Best Kiss at the 2010 Movie Awards

3. “I love how they release that for the first one. They just give it all away.” — Speaking at the Golden Globes about the publication of a photo of Edward and Bella in bed on their honeymoon

2. “I like the story about me being pregnant. It was in some Australian magazine, on the front page! I was like, ‘Wow, that’s just [insane].’ And it’s not even ironic. I don’t even think the article [tried to justify it]; it was just a headline. The article was just like, nothing.” — On the strange things he learns when Googling himself

1. “Lot of my crack in it!” — On his on-screen nudity in the upcoming drama, “Bel Ami”
