The Two Comic Con Breaking Dawn Clips To Hit The Web Next Week??

Did anyone here go to the Dublin MovieFest last Saturday, with just the tiniest bit of hope that the Breaking Dawn Clips would be shown?
I sure did, but I was sadly disappointed when I didn't get them!
However, a similar event (Empire Presents Big Screen) happened on the same day in the UK, and the clips were shown there. (Me? Jealous? Never!!)

So I've been wondering... will I actually get to see those clips before November??

Well, according to The Hollywood News, yes! They're reporting that the two Breaking Dawn clips will hit the web next week!! (August 22nd-26th)
Below is an extract from their blog-post:

Onto day two and straight into the EOne Panel which saw us promised some clips from TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN PART 1. We had a bit of an issue in terms of getting to the two clips, but indeed they came just as the Sony panel was about to begin. Saturday was the day that we started live blogging the event and yes, we ran into a little bit of trouble in being allowed to do this during the Sony panel which we respect 100%, but that did affect us nearly missing said two TWILIGHT clips. They did come, and we were allowed to stay to see them. Here’s our thoughts at the time (from the live blog):
  • The first clip is of Edward and Bella in their honeymoon suite with Edward carrying her into the room….
  • They are looking down at the marital bed
  • Edward very coy looking, they are holding hands and Edward asks Bella if she wants to go for a swim???
  • They kiss, and Edward heads out onto the veranda while Bella enters the bathroom to ‘prepare’.
Apologies guys, we have just been asked to leave the auditorium to hand in our laptops. We did just manage to see the two clips. The end of the one we were describing saw Bella and Edward go for a midnight swim, and then the second was heavy with the prescence of Taylor Lautner and the wolf pack in a forest… We will post a full report later, but we are currently to sort out the security problem. Apologies

So that was all that we got down at the time, and again we apologies to the hundreds of TWILIGHT fans that were reading the blog as we updated. We think that a lot of you missed out as we also had to switch blog consoles as this overlapped into the Sony panel. We have been told since however that these clips are all set to hit the web next week, so do keep it THN as we will post them just as soon as we get them.

So if this is true, then YES!!! We’ll get to finally *legally* see the official clips, and in HQ!! Just think....

Jacob and the Cullens...
Jacob and the wolf pack...
Edward carrying Bella into the room!
THE BED!!!!!
Edward going into the water...
Bella getting ready to meet him in the water...

AAH!

So if the clips do come out, will you watch them?
Or are you saving yourself for the wedding? (Just Like Bella and Edward ;))

Update RE: Movie Fest this coming Saturday

Last Monday, we posted about Cineworld's upcoming Movie Fest and the possibility of getting to see the Breaking Dawn clips shown at Comic Con last month.

To confirm this, we contacted the organiser of the event and found out that although they know for definite that the trailer will be shown, they're still unsure about the Comic-Con footage that they were originally guaranteed.

If the footage does run, however, it will be on the Saturday - which, if you really need a vampire fix, also has a screening of Colin Farrell's new vampire movie 'Fright Night'.

There has also been confirmation that footage from Kellan Lutz's newest film 'Immortals' will be shown on the Saturday  - the same day we'd hopefully be getting the Breaking Dawn Footage.

Doors open at 10am and the first movie starts at 10.30am.
You can book Saturday tickets by dropping into Cineworld or you can book online by clicking here.

So, will you still be going, even though you may not get the Breaking Dawn footage?

Comic Con Breaking Dawn footage is coming to Dublin!?!

EEEEEEK!
Cineworld and Movies.ie have recently joined forces and launched MovieFest - a new Irish Movie-Event inspired by the legendary US Comic-Con - which takes place in Cineworld, Dublin, on Saturday 13 and
Sunday 14 August.
Organiser Vincent Donnelly said:
"We had taken note of how huge Comic-Con has become in the US, now attracting thousands of people and the biggest stars, and wanted to try to recreate some of that excitement here.

Irish audiences, among the most frequent moviegoers in the world, can sometimes be neglected when it comes to access to an all-inclusive event like this, and we wanted to make sure that while it was modelled on Comic-Con, it's a very unique event.

There will be plenty of surprises over the weekend, and plenty of prizes and goody bags for members of the audience, so if you're a movie fan, this is definitely the event for you."

Sounds good, right? Well it gets better.

According to the RTE website
"Exclusive footage from the likes of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Steven Soderbergh's Haywire, Guillermo del Toro's Don't Be Afraid of the Dark and Ben Stiller's Tower Heist will be screened, along with a four-minute preview of Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of TinTin and a five-minute clip from the upcoming Total Recall remake, which stars Colin Farrell."

Having checked out the website myself, it looks as though the Twilight footage will be screened on the Saturday! However, we are still waiting for confirmation on that, and we will let you know ASAP!
Tickets are available from Cineworld, priced €22.50.
For full details of the Movie Fest programme, as well as a link to buy online, visit: www.movies.ie/fest.

I am ridiculously excited to see this footage! Will you be going?? (Maybe I'll see you there!)

Three new 'Breaking Dawn' Comic-Con promo
character-cards revealed

Three Comic-Con promo character-cards from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 have been unveiled today by USA Today, as well as a new quote from director Bill Condon:
Bill Condon, director of the final two Twilight movies, Breaking Dawn, Part I (out Nov. 18) and Part II (Nov. 16, 2012), sees Cullen and Black as part of a long tradition of rooting for the noble monster, dating to the original Frankenstein film in 1931.

"We've always had a complicated relationship toward monsters. Don't you feel like in every Dracula movie, you're sort of wanting him to get away with it?" Condon says, laughing.

The two-sided cards feature “Bella” (Kristen Stewart), “Edward” (Robert Pattinson), and “Jacob” (Taylor Lautner) on one side, and mini-bios on the other.

Check them out below! (Click the images to make them bigger)
~*~
For “Jacob”, his group listing contains two names:
the Quileute Wolf Pack (a.k.a. “Sam’s” group), and The Black Pack, his own new pack, headed by him and followed by “Leah” and “Seth Clearwater.”

Appropriately, then, his quote is: “I am the grandson of a chief. I wasn’t born to follow you or anyone else.”

For “Bella,” the biographical information contains her full, married name for the first time (“Isabella Marie Swan Cullen”), considers her part of the “Cullen Coven,” and cutely lists her date of transformation as “TBD” (or “To Be Determined”).
Also, for special abilities, it is noted, “Her mind is impenetrable; no one can read her thoughts unless she allows it. She can shield herself from all types of physical attacks.”
The note also contains a quote from her: “Yeah, I’m ready.”

For “Edward,” little is new except his own quote: “I’ve been waiting a century to marry you, Miss Swan.”

Wow, there's been some Great Breaking Dawn goodies to start off Comic-Con week, hasn't there? :D

MTV will be at Comic-Con this year!!

...and they're bringing us a "Breaking Dawn Livestream Extravaganza"!

From MTV:
Bite Into Our 'Breaking Dawn' Livestream During Comic-Con!

That's right, Twilighters. MTV News is taking over Comic-Con and we're starting with your favorite vampire romance.
This Thursday at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT, we'll kick-off our three-day "MTV News: Comic-Con Takeover" with a "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 1" livestream extravaganza, featuring a full hour of interviews and a Q&A with the cast. And, of course, we want your input! Tweet your questions to @MTVNews using the hashtag #MTVSDCC, and a bloodsucker may just chew on your query!

It will all go down on MTV.com (and Hollywood Crush, naturally), so stay tuned for that on June 21!

We'll continue to cover the San Diego convention from every angle throughout the weekend, so keep close for scoop on "Glee," "True Blood, "Vampire Diaries" and more!

What questions do you have for the "Twilight" cast? Are you as excited for Comic-Con as we are?

Bill Condon talks about Breaking Dawn at Comic-Con

Thanks to the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, a few of director Bill Condon's thoughts on the upcoming Breaking Dawn Comic-Con panel (taking place in Hall H, at 11:15AM on July 21st.) have been revealed.

Evidently, Condon has never before been to Comic-Con, so he isn't quite accustomed to the boisterous reception the Twilight Saga's cast and filmmakers tend to get at these shows. "It sounds insane! It sounds exciting," he told the publication.

It seems it's also been a tad difficult for him to narrow down which exclusive clip(s) will be shown at the event. "I'm trying to figure that out now. It's a bit of a challenge cause we don't want to give away the wedding dress, and some of the other big action scenes have wolves that won't be ready in time."

Still, his excitement over attending Comic-Con is unmoved. "What I'm really looking forward to is the experience of [screening the clips] with people who care so deeply about this."

A scan of the article in question can be found by clicking here. So, what can we take away from this feature?

Well, for one, Bill Condon will be there. That's rather unsurprising since, in previous years, the director has usually been on-hand for the panel. A second insinuation contained in the piece is that there'll be more than one clip from Breaking Dawn shown at the event. This, too, isn't shocking since with The Twilight Saga: New Moon's panel in 2009, two clips were shown (thusly setting a bar of expectation that would be difficult to lower).

We have less than two days to go now until the Breaking Dawn panel takes place, and Twilight fans have been spotted camping out for the event as of yesterday!

Note:
Entertainment Weekly will reportedly carry a web-based live-stream of Comic-Con next week for those who
will not be in attendance of the show.

We'll let you know more about that as soon as we can!

Thanks to Twilight Examiner and KStewAngel for the heads-up!

So, are you excited that Bill Condon is saving the dress for the big screen?
Or do you want to see EVERYTHING beforehand? Let us know in the comments below! :)

'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1' panel will take place at Comic-Con

Thanks to The New York Times' newest report on the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con, it has now been confirmed that a panel for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 will be featured at the event.

It's been estimated for quite some time that a Breaking Dawn panel would be featured at the show, since both Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon (which also had November release dates) panels were done in previous years (note: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's release date took place prior to last year's event, so there was nonesuch for that film).

With Twilight, the featured panelists for the film were Stephenie Meyer, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Catherine Hardwicke, Rachelle Lefevre, Edi Gathegi, and Cam Gigandet. For New Moon, the featured panels were Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner (videos for both years are attached in the sidebar).

No word yet on which castmembers or filmmakers will appear for the Breaking Dawn - Part 1 pane but Summit has just shared a press release indicating more information:

In addition to Summit’s booth presence at Comic-Con®, the studio will also host one of the first panels of the day in Hall H on Thursday, July 21st dedicated to THE TWILIGHT SAGA franchise. Fans interested in the story’s final chapters will be shown exclusive footage from THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1 and be treated to a filmmaker and cast Q&A session providing details on the first half of the epic two part finale, in theatres November 18, 2011.

For further information on Summit Entertainment’s activities at Comic-Con® International, you can follow @SummitEnt on Twitter.

Breaking Dawn Cast will present new footage at Comic Con this year?

Taken From thehdroom.com:

"Comic-Con 2011 four-day passes were hard enough to come by based on interest, much less technical difficulties.
Passes for the annual gathering of film, comic book, toy and gaming enthusiasts went on sale earlier today and was met by a stampede of buyers with credit cards in-hand. The ticketing vendor for the process, Ticketleap.com, buckled multiple times under the strain of fulfilling requests.
Interest in the four-day passes was so intense that even with the outages all were sold through in roughly two-and-a-half hours. Many people who were hoping to make the trek to San Diego and hit up the convention center for Thursday through Sunday had to walk away empty-handed.
As of Saturday evening, one-day Comic-Con passes were still remaining but those do little good for out-of-towners.
Many of Comic-Cons must-see panels and unveiling of new footage are spread across multiple days. It wouldn’t make much sense to spend the travel and accommodations money and only get to see a sampling of what the show has to offer.
This year’s Comic-Con in particular is poised to be perhaps the biggest yet.
In a battle of screaming female tweens versus comic book faithful, Summit Entertainment will present new footage and the stars of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, while Marvel and Paramount will counter with likely the first public footage from The Avengers.
In addition to those two huge properties, Warner Bros. and DC Comics should be ready to share the first footage or at least images from The Dark Knight Rises, the third and final Batman film from Christopher Nolan. Other films expected to appear in some form include David Fincher’s version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Men in Black 3, Marvel and Columbia Pictures’ Spider-Man reboot, The Hunger Games, John Carter of Mars, Battleship, Prometheus, and Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot.
The Comic-Con fiasco today, which many people wasted a solid portion of their day on only to come up short, underscores the argument of either moving Comic-Con to a more spacious venue or splitting it up into a series of smaller more targeted conventions. For now the San Diego Convention Center is the venue, and interest in Comic-Con will continue to outgrow its confines until the issue is addressed."

Comic Con this year happens from 21st - 24th July 2011, in San Diego, California.
Remember, this is still unconfirmed, so take it with a grain of salt! (and pray it's true!)
