Amy Adams talks about co-star Kristen Stewart at the Oscars

Kristen and Amy star together in the upcoming movie "On The Road".

The Oscars 2011: "Twilight Surprise"

For the past week, we've been hearing about a "Twilight Surprise" that the Oscars would have in store for us this year. GAH, the excitement! What could it be?!

Producers built it up, hundreds of twi-hards watched with bated breath through seven acts of the awards ceremony, and what did they get?

Funny? Yes.
Over-hyped? Yes.
And based on what producers for the show had built up about this “Twilight surprise”, I think many are disappointed.

Did you enjoy it? Or do you think they were just using fandom to get the ratings up?
Let us know what you think in the comments section below, or by tweeting us.
~

At least Josh Horowitz (MTV) has tweeted to say that he has a Twilight related surprise in store for us - soon! :)
Let's hope it's better then the Oscar "surprise".

Catherine Hardwicke speaks about Robert Pattinson & the Edward casting

Taken from newsweek.com:

"Like the late John Hughes, who discovered the teenage actors who became the Brat Pack, Hardwicke has created many of this generation’s tween idols. Evan Rachel Wood (Thirteen), Emile Hirsch (Lords of Dogtown), Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner (Twilight) all got their big breaks in a Hardwicke film. She dishes about them like an older sister; how Hirsch was too lazy to do sit-ups and drew abs on his stomach with mascara or why Pattinson had to pluck his eyebrows. “They were a bit bushy,” she says. “We needed to see some eyes!”

For Twilight, Hardwicke had trouble finding an actor otherworldly enough to play vampire Edward Cullen. Then she got a call about a guy in London. “I looked at a couple pictures and was like, ‘I’m not sure,’?” Hardwicke says. “He had been fired from his last job, he was unemployed, he was in debt.” Pattinson flew to Los Angeles on his own dime to read with Stewart. “I have footage of their first meeting at my dining-room table,”Hardwicke says. “Kristen was like, ‘It’s got to be Rob!’ She felt connected to him from the first moment. “That electricity, or love at first sight, or whatever it is.” Hardwicke gave him the part, but he had to make a promise.“You’ve got to realize that Kristen is 17 years old,” she told him. “She’s underage. You’ve got to focus, dude, or you’re going to be arrested. I made him swear on a stack of Bibles.”

When Hardwicke auditioned Evan Rachel Wood for Thirteen, she had her get into her bed with Nikki Reed. That’s also where Pattinson kissed Stewart for the first time in his Twilight screen test. “That bed made Pattinson who he is right now,” says Reed. Asked about her lair, Hardwicke laughs. “MTV came and did an episode in my house filming the bed. It’s legendary,” she says, flashing a wide—dare we say wolfish—grin."

Xavier Samuel Single Again?

Poor Xavier Samuel!

According to entertainmentwise.com, he's back on the singles market after his girlfriend, model Shermaine Shahriver left him for Hurts singer, Theo Hutchcraft.

"Xavier caught our attention when he was cast to play vampire Riley in the Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Needless to say, the beautiful Australian quickly made it onto theEntertainmentwise man wall.
However, the actor clearly wasn’t good enough for the model who has traded him in for the Hurts star.
A source said: "Theo is a real ladies' man. The band are getting big in the UK but Europe has gone mental for them. They can't walk down the street in Germany without being mobbed.
"That kind of success brings a lot of attention from models, and Theo caught the eye of Shermine. When they were over at the Bambi Awards last year they met up and hit it off. Since then they have been meeting up when they can. She was planning to fly to Iceland on a private jet with Theo but it didn't work out in the end. They've kept in touch and have been arranging to see each other again next time the boys are in Germany. Theo got a bit of a fright when he realised she was dating the Twilight chap."

We'll help Xavier get over Shermaine, it's the least we can do!

Twilight in the Virgin Media Movie Awards.

The Virgin Media Awards have been held and the winners announced.
I personally do not agree with most of the results, but thought I'd let you know anyway...

Most Awesome Movie
Sadly, Twilight came second - narrowly losing out to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Guy Of The Year
Robert Pattinson
It was a tough battle between Team Potter and Team Twilight, but you should never underestimate the screaming power of the Twi-hards. Robert Pattinson – or 'R-Patz' to those of you down with the kidz – emerged victorious as your Guy Of The Year. Fellow teen idol Daniel Radcliffe scrapped his way to second place, with everyone's favourite pirate, Johnny Depp, in third. Swoon or what?

Vampires Suck
Technically not a Twilight film - but it's a parody based on Twilight.

Nastiest Villain
Again, Twilight narrowly lost out, with Victoria coming in second against Harry Potter's "Lord Voldemort".

Most Wanted film
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn
A hugely contested category, your Most Wanted movie for 2011 is officially the first part of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. The votes flew in from both Harry Potter and Twilight fans, but ultimately Harry's adventures have been usurped by the vamp-wolf-lady love triangle. Deathly Hallows: Part Two could only rank as your second Most Wanted, with Pirates 4 in third.

Kristen Stewart
Poor Kristen Stewart – last year she appeared in rip-roaring music biopic The Runaways, played a tough role in critical success Welcome To The Rileys and even filmed On The Road, a Jack Kerouac novel. But no, all you saw was Twilight, Twilight, TWILIGHT! K-Stew 'won' the award all the girls dread, just pipping Piranha's Kelly Brook and Jonah Hex' Megan Fox to the title.

Most Overrated Movie
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
You're a fickle lot, aren't you? It seems for every one of you who can't get enough Twilight action, there's another movie fan who's had it up to here with Bella and Edward's antics. You voted The Twilight Saga: Eclipse as your Most Overrated Movie, with the double-Depp-dip of Alice In Wonderland and The Tourist finishing as your second and third biggest disappointments of the year.

Lamest Couple
Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart from Twilight
Could it be jealousy that caused Virgin Media readers to vote Twilight's R-Patz and K-Stew as the year's Lamest Couple? After all, the really, really ridiculously good-looking pair are an item in real life... Rupert Grint and Emma Watson were deemed a dud in second, and you agreed with Ricky Gervais – Johnny Depp and Angelina in The Tourist just didn't work.

Stunt Team rehearsing at Swan House for next week's filming

Our Source thinks *speculates* that these stunts are in preparation of the scene where Emmett and Jasper pick up Edward for the Bachelor Party.
(Hmm... That's a scene involving shirtless Edward, if I remember correctly...)

What do you think?

Twilight Mentioned in this weeks "Coronation Street".

Eve Morey admits she cried when she saw Rob dying as Cedric Diggory!

Eve Morey (an actress from the Australian soap "Neighbours") recently spoke about her crushes in interview with "holysoap.five.tv":

"These days Eve's crushes are more mainstream, as she admits to having a thing for Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson.
But sensitive Eve tears up very easily. She revealed:
"I do a lot of crying on set at the moment but the last time I really cried was when I was watching Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire. There is a scene where I knew Robert Pattinson was going to die and I knew what was coming."

Oh well, R-Patz can make us all a bit emotional."

New Breaking Dawn Set - The Cottage Photos

More Set pictures!
And this time, it's of Edward and Bella's Cottage! *SQUEAL*

You can see the stone finishing, wooden shingles and plants climbing the walls.

Not sure what this is?
It's the cottage that the Cullens give the newlyweds for some "alone time".
*wink wink*

Here's Bella's description of the exterior in Breaking Dawn:
"I stared into the violet dark. There, nestled into a small clearing in the forest, was a tiny stone cottage, lavender gray in the light of the stars. It belonged here so absolutely that it seemed as if it must have grown from the rock, a natural formation. Honeysuckle climbed up one wall like a lattice, winding all the way up and over the thick wooden shingles. Late summer roses bloomed in a handkerchief-sized garden under the dark, deep-set windows. There was a little path of flat stones, amethyst in the night that led up to the quaint arched wooden door."

According to the source of these photo's -
"It looked just about finished, besides some final touches such as foliage, flowers and whatnot. It was perfect. Nestled amongst trees with the stone walls and the square chimney. Looked just about ready for filming!"

Here you can see the chimney which was described by Bella as a "beehive" fireplace in the corner.

"Now if we could only see the interior? I wonder if they will film the interior inside the actual cottage or in studio? Perhaps they already filmed it in Baton Rouge Studio? I wonder... it certainly looked large enough to film inside, especially if the back side was open to allow wider angles for cameras. I am not sure as I didn't want to trespass to peak on the other side."

Here's Bella's description of the interior in Breaking Dawn:
"The cottage room was something from a fairy tale. The floor was a crazy quilt of smooth, flat stones. The low ceiling had long exposed beams that someone as tall as Jacob would surely knock his head on. The walls were warm wood in some places, stone mosaics in others.
The beehive fireplace in the corner held the remains of a slow flickering fire. It was driftwood burning there-the low flames were blue and green from the salt.
It was furnished in eclectic pieces, not one of them matching another, but harmonious just the same. One chair seemed vaguely medieval, while a low ottoman by the fire was more contemporary and the stocked book-shelf against the far window reminded me of movies set in Italy. Somehow each piece fit together with the others like a big three-dimensional puzzle. There were a few paintings on the walls that I recognized-some of my very favorites from the big house. Priceless originals, no doubt, but they seemed to belong here, too, like all the rest."

"They even had bags and boxes of ferns and various foliage.
This one was labelled "Ficus Sprays" which are a leafy plant."

"It is clear Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn is ready to roll. All we need are some actors, which apparently are on their way also.... let the filming begin!"

Jacob Black's house is being prepared for 'Breaking Dawn' filming

Taken from mandysmind.com:

"Today after work I took a drive by Jacob Black's House and saw preparations being done for filming.

Jacob Black House for Breaking Dawn

Here are some photos from just a few hours ago of Jacob Black's House.
They have added the fire wood, boat buoys, the Black mailbox and other details.

Jacob Black's 'garage' for Breaking Dawn

Props added to the Jacob Black Breaking Dawn Set

There is no ocean nearby this actual location, so it's funny when they add boats, crab traps (which they did for the previous two movies) and all the boating and fishing props. They seem so obviously out of place, but perfect touches for the movies.

The Black mail box added outside

A closer look at the Black Mailbox

This is very exciting to see. There were several set designers hard at work laying everything out in preparations for filming. Like most sets, days, if not weeks of preparation are done prior to filming. Often this part of the film making process takes just as long or longer than the filming itself.

Fans who wish to go see the Jacob Black house to take photos of the lil red house, I encourage you to go before or after filming because with New Moon and Eclipse filming they blocked the entire street off so you could not see the actual house.

Are you going to buy it?

'WFE', 'Immortals' and 'On The Road' Among the Most Anticipated Films of 2011

Water For Elephants (Francis Lawrence; April 22nd)

Synopsis: A veterinary student abandons his studies after his parents are killed and joins a traveling circus as their vet.
Why You Should See It: Based on the best-selling novel, this film boosts an impressive cast including Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz. The trailer looks stunning, and with Waltz in the intriguing role of August Rosenbluth, it’s hopeful that the story will be equally pleasing. – Kristen C.

Immortals (Tarsem Singh, 2011)

Synopsis: Greek warrior Theseus battles against imprisoned titans.
Why You Should See It: Tarsem has the eye and style of a God. The Cell and The Fall were like 2 hours of going down the chocolate river in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory with being bombarded by uncanny imagery. And with The Fall, Tarsem showed he can make something a little more coherent and emotionally compelling than his initial debut film. Hopefully, he continues that rise with this sword and sandals epic. – Jack G

On The Road (Walter Salles, 2011)

Synopsis: A young man sets out to travel the roads and railways of America.
Why You Should See It: Here’s hoping Walter Salles’ next is more ‘The Motorcycle Diaries’ than ‘Dark Water,’ the how-did-this-finally-get-made adaptation of the Jack Kerouac road novel. With Francis Ford Coppola producing and a young, talented cast (Sam Riley, Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst) leading the way, this could make Beat-wannabes dreams come true. – Jordan R.
