Kellan Lutz behind the scenes of A Nightmare on Elm Street

With Halloween just a few weeks away, we're totally stoked to add the chilling revamp of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" to our collection of seasonally scary movies. And just in time for the DVD release, Hollywood Crush has an EXCLUSIVE behind-the-scenes look at Freddy's latest horror show, with stars Kellan Lutz and Katie Cassidy talking about the not-quite-uncrossable line between a bad dream and a waking nightmare.

As primary victim Dean Russell, Kellan Lutz describes his wholesome character as "the one you want to root for"—while we get an up-close-and-personal look at his confrontation with Jackie Earle Haley's gruesome Krueger.
"You sense a lot of issues going on," Kellan says, as he talks about his role. "He's just mentally messed up."
No argument here! If we couldn't fall asleep because some claw-handed dude with a face like shredded meat was trying to kill us, we'd be pretty messed up, too.
The clip then moves on to an interview with Katie Cassidy, who plays Kris Fowles and tells us that Kris is "the only character that's so much like the original ['A Nightmare on Elm Street']." The footage shows her in character and starting out skeptical, telling Kellan that it's all just a dream...only to come back and find him in the grip of a Freddy-induced nightmare and trying to stab himself with an eating utensil.
"Physically, emotionally, my character always ends up in the worst situations," she explains. Katie is clearly in tip-top form for the film, as we see her running away from Freddy, fighting Freddy and then running away from Freddy some more after finding out just what kind of horrible things happen when you let a psychopathic knife-wielding nightmare man get cuddly with your Norwich Terrier.
But while Kris might be the character that's most true to the original "Nightmare" franchise, Freddy Krueger's sadistic-yet-cheesy sense of humor has also made it to 2010 without any change. While she screams and bolts, he calls after her, "I was just petting him!"
Are you psyched for the latest "Nightmare" on DVD?

'The Simpsons' Newest Vampire - Edmund

This is genius. Daniel Radcliffe, next seen in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, will be making a guest appearance in an upcoming episode of The Simpsons but he will not be playing himself nor Harry Potter. Instead, Radcliffe will be voicing Edmund the vampire, a clear spoof of Twilight and Robert Pattinson’s character Edward Cullen. Spoiler TV got the first image of the character, which you can see above.

The episode, titled Treehouse of Horror XXI will air on Fox in the US on November 7th. Here’s the synopsis for the episode:

Beware of ouija boards, vampires, and unexpected guests in the 21st annual installment of the “Treehouse of Horror.” In “War and Pieces,” the first of three spine-tingling tales, Marge (Julie Kavner), worried about the effects of excessively violent video games, encourages Bart (Nancy Cartwright) and Milhouse (Pamela Hayden) to give wholesome, classic board games a shot. The best friends discover that board games aren’t boring after all when they find themselves playing a real-life game in which they must beat all the challenges before they are allowed to return to home.
The supernatural spells continue in “Tweenlight,” when Lisa (Yeardley Smith) becomes smitten with a mysterious new student, Edmund (guest voice Daniel Radcliffe), who also happens to be a vampire. When a romance blossoms, the young lovers run away to Dracula-la Land, leaving Homer (Dan Castellaneta) to come to Lisa’s rescue.
In the final frightening fable, “Master and Cadaver,” Homer and Marge set sail on a romantic second honeymoon, but are interrupted when they rescue Roger (guest voice Hugh Laurie), a castaway who escaped an attempted poisoning on his ship. Convinced that Roger is sabotaging their getaway and plotting a murder of his own, Homer and Marge take matters into their own hands.

Thanks so much to Angelbar1 for sharing these lovely pics with us. She told us the Pattinson clan are lovely. Mr.Pattinson asked if she had seen 'Remember Me' - he thought it was a great film and he got to meet Pierce Brosnan. The gig was great with Lizzy singing a cover of Black Velvet and talking about her upcoming single with BeatBullyz (which we promoted some time ago). Angelbar1 says Lizzy is absolutely beautiful (they are a gorgeous family.) Angelbar1's fave song of Lizzy's below - Rob's dad told her it was filmed in South Africa.
