Peter Facinelli asks 'What Does Twilight Mean To You?'

With the release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2 on November 16th, one of the most successful film franchises in cinematic history reaches its epic conclusion. 

It’s a bittersweet moment for the fans of the franchise – the famous Twihards – who whilst highly anticipating the release are also sad to wave goodbye to the Saga they love. 

 In recognition of this and the support of the fans over the years, Entertainment One are asking the UK’s Twilight Saga fans what Twilight means to them. Today sees the launch of an official The Twilight Saga UK YouTube channel with an exclusive introduction from Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen). 

Here, Peter invites fans to post their videos showing what Twilight means to them - The names of all the fans submitting a video will feature in a special thank you section on THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2 UK home entertainment release.

In addition, bi-weekly playlists of submissions will be created for fans to easily watch and comment on each other’s videos, with a selection of the best videos winning additional Twilight goodies.

Last night, Robert Pattinson, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Resaser, Wyck Godfrey, Taylor Lautner and Jackson Rathbone were all in attendance at the VMA's and presented a first-look at the newest Breaking Dawn trailer and OH MY GOD IT LOOKS AMAZING!

The full-version will be available tonight from 8PM ET / 1AM GMT (Ireland/UK) on Yahoo!.

Peter Facinelli & Jennie Garth Split

Sad news today - Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth have split after 11 years of marriage, GossipCop confirms.

“While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children,”

Facinelli and Garth said in a statement to Gossip Cop.

“We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together. We ask for privacy and respect during this time.”

No other details have been given.

The couple wed in January 2001 and have three daughters: Luca, Lola and Fiona.

It was Facinelli’s first marriage and the second for Garth, who was married to Daniel Clark in the mid-1990s.

Peter Facinelli in 'Nurse Jackie' New Season-Teaser

A new teaser for the upcoming season of Showtime's "Nurse Jackie" was just posted on the official Nurse Jackie Facebook. 

The teaser is called "It's Raining Men", and it shows a bunch of clips of the different men appearing in the new season - including lots of clips with Peter Facinelli. :)

Peter Facinelli on 'Wet And Cold' Breaking Dawn Wedding Day

Unlike co-star Robert Pattinson, Facinelli has yet to wrap his work on the "Twilight" saga.

"I still have another two weeks of second-unit stunt work, so for me, it doesn't feel quite done yet," he said. "I haven't really had that moment of remorse or blues, you know, the blues of finishing. I'm in the midst of still finishing myself."

Regarding a few key scenes that his co-stars have mentioned — specifically the Taylor Lautner vs. Kristen Stewart fight scene — Facinelli agreed that seeing the much smaller Stewart take on Lautner was entertaining.

"Oh yes, I was there for that," he said. "[It was] very funny. ... But you have to kick his butt a little bit," Facinelli added about the idea of Lautner's character Jacob imprinting on Bella and Edward's daughter Renesmee.

Although he couldn't go into too much detail, we asked Facinelli to describe the heavily hyped wedding scene for us.

"Beautiful and spectacular," he said. "It's funny, because whenever we have a big important scene on 'Twilight' [movies], it rains. I was doing the baseball sequence [from 'Twilight'], and it was raining. But you never see it on film," he said of the filmmaking crew's movie magic. "With this wedding, it rained the whole time we shot the two scenes. But you'll never see it on film, they block out the rain. They put tarps up and you'll never see it. But for us, it was very wet and muddy and cold."

Gigandet said that, although there are vampires involved in the movie, fans expecting the romantic “Twilight”-style vamps will be in for a shock.
“It’s very, very different from ‘Twilight,’ ” he said. “The similarities kind of end with what they’re called, which is vampires.”
Gigandet said the world of “Priest,” directed by Scott Charles Stewart, is also entirely different. “The world Scott created is kind of unlike any other,” he said. “Sometimes it was hard to visualize what he had in his mind, but I’ve seen clips, and its unbelievable. … Just to work with all of these people, they’re such an amazing cast. I didn’t have any doubts [about taking on another vampire-related role].”
Gigandet’s co-star, “Star Trek” star Karl Urban, said he’s never seen a movie like this. “This is a post-apocalyptic vampire western,” he said. “The emphasis isn’t heavily on the fact — it’s not like a ‘vampire film’; there’s so much more to it.”
As far as what “Twilight” fans can expect to see, and fans of the original comic book, Gigandet and his co-stars said there is something for everyone in the film, because it is emotional and character-driven.
“[There are] so many different levels, and so many people are doing things that sacrifice for all sorts of love,” Gigandet said. “It’s not just one set love story. There are so many different levels going on.”

As if we needed yet another reason to love the Twilight Cast!

Kellan Lutz, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, and Nikki Reed, all took some took time out of their busy schedule on Dec. 16, to visit sick children in Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge.
