Video: Green Day's 'The Forgotten' from the Breaking Dawn - Part 2 Soundtrack

MTV UK website:

YouTube:

LYRICS:
Where in the world's the forgotten?
They're lost inside your memory.
You're dragging on, your hearts been broken.
As we all go down in history...

Where in the world did the time go?
It's where your spirit seems to roam.
Like losing faith to our abandon,
or an empty hallway from a broken home.

Well, don't look away from the arms of a bad dream
Well, don't look away, sometimes you're better lost than to be seen...

I don't feel strange, it's more like haunted.
Another moment trapped in time.
I can't quite put my finger on it,
but it's like a child that was left behind.

So where in the world's the forgotten?
Like soldiers from a long lost war.
We share the scars from our abandon,
and what we remember becomes folklore.

Well, don't look away from the arms of a bad dream.
Well, don't look away, sometimes you're better lost than to be seen...
Well, don't look away from the arms of a moment.
Well, don't look away from the arms of tomorrow.
Well, don't look away from the arms of a moment, don't look away from the arms of love. (x2)

Breaking Dawn - Part 2' soundtrack list revealed!

Official OST Cover
The track list for Breaking Dawn - Part 2's soundtrack has been revealed!

As previously known, Iko and Passion Pit are on it, with "Heart of Stone" and "Where I Come From". Christina Perri also returns, with her song "A Thousand Years (Part 2)" .
Perri, who is "so honored and excited to be involved again in this final film and soundtrack." has told Yahoo! Movies that her second Twilight Saga addition is "not the same [as the original]... you'll just have to wait and see how."

Also returning to the Twilight Soundtrack is St. Vincent who collaborated with Bon Iver to bring us the song "Roslyn" for The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Nikki Reed and her husband Paul McDonald will also be making an appearance with their song "All I've ever Needed".
However, the biggest surprise for the soundtrack is the inclusion of Green Day!
(My favourite band! Eek! ~Jess)

The band's bassist Mike Dirnt said "When we were asked to be part of the 'Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2' soundtrack, we readily agreed because the films are an insane cultural phenomenon, and we have always been impressed with the way the 'Twilight' soundtracks are so carefully curated."

Us too, Mike ; )

The full track list is as follows:
  1. Where I Come From — Passion Pit
  2. Bittersweet — Ellie Goulding
  3. The Forgotten — Green Day
  4. Fire In The Water — Feist
  5. Everything And Nothing — The Boom Circuits
  6. The Antidote — St. Vincent
  7. Speak Up — POP ETC
  8. Heart of Stone — Iko
  9. Cover Your Tracks — A Boy and His Kite
  10. Ghosts — James Vincent McMorrow
  11. All I've Ever Needed — Paul McDonald & Nikki Reed
  12. New For You — Reeve Carney
  13. A Thousand Years (Part Two) - Christina Perri
  14. Plus Que Ma Prope Vie — Carter Burwell
The Breaking Dawn - Part 2 soundtrack will be released on November 9th in Ireland -(The 13th in the US!).

What do you think of the final Twilight soundtrack's artists? Are you excited?

‘Breaking Dawn Part 2' Soundtrack Release Date November 13th & Pre-Order Info!

Updated with Official OST Cover!
Amazon.com has listed the Breaking Dawn Part 2 Soundtrack release date as November 13th! Pre-orders are now available on the US Site and UK site.

So far, we know that Passion Pit and Iko (the background music we heard during the Breaking Dawn Part 2 clip shown at Target in February), are both definitely on the soundtrack, however, Christina Perri has also hinted that she could be on it as well.

Amazon is usually pretty good with info like this, but do bear in mind that no official announcement has yet come from Chop Shop Records so the date COULD potentially change!

Who would you like to hear on the soundtrack?
Robert Pattinson has been dying to get back in to the music-scene so could he be a part of it? Or is that wishful thinking?

We've already had awesome soundtrack-music from the likes of Muse, Paramore, The Black Keys and Bon Iver (to name but a few) so I have high hopes for the Breaking Dawn Part 2 music!

Thanks to Twilight Examiner for the tip! :)

Christina Perri to be involved with ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2′ Soundtrack?

Christina Perri was on America's 96.5 TIC FM's program ‘The Acoustic Cafe’ this morning, and might possibly have dropped a huge hint about the new soundtrack for Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Perri was interviewed on the show and sang an acoustic set, however before singing Breaking Dawn Part 1's ‘A Thousand Years’, she mentioned that she might possibly have already seen Part 2 already and even that she “might be involved” with it!
Read more below:
Perri ended her set with “A Thousand Years,” the hit song she wrote for Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part One. Before jumping into the music, she recalled her experience with the film series, and writing the single. “I’m not even gonna pretend I was cool about it… I cried the whole time,” she said. “I watched the movie and I went straight home and wrote this song.”
But what she said next was the most exciting news for Twi-Hards everywhere… “I might have seen the last film (Breaking Dawn Part Two) too, and it’s pretty amazing,” she teased, before adding. “I might be involved in that. I’m not really allowed to say though… just a hint.” And with the bomb dropped that Christina may be back for another round of Twilight music, she played her last song, joking “I’m sucking at secrets today!
