***** HAPPY NEW YEAR *****
Well, what a year it's been in 2010. Eclipse and all the surrounding madness was the highlight of the Twilight year and it was worth the wait. We even got a Rob & Kristen commentary on the DVD (if you haven't listened yet, go do it now).
However our favourite stars were also busy with lots of other movies.... Rob brought us 'Tyler' in 'Remember Me', showing the world that there was more to him than Edward Cullen.
Kristen showed her epic acting chops in Welcome to the Rileys & The Runaways while Taylor starred with a host of other celebs in Valentine's Day. The rest of the cast were busy too...it seems the Twilight cast can do no wrong, as they continue to pop up in bit parts / big parts in movies, tv shows and even music videos!
The Irish Twilight Sisters 'family' continues to grow - Bee, Mel, Anna & Lorri have been joined by Jess, Jen & Vicky...who share our goal to bring you Twilight news, Cast news and whatever else takes our fancy on any given day.
While we ring in 2011 tonight, let's look forward to what the year has to bring us...
So take some time with us this coming year while we are 'On The Road', adoring 'Bel Ami' and carrying 'Water for Elephants' and hoping no 'Abduction' happens before the 'Breaking Dawn'... (Okay, that was really lame but hey, the madness has finally gotten to me! ~ B)
We would like to take this chance to thank our affiliate sites, our sister blogs, our followers - here, on Twitter, on Facebook and everywhere else for all your help, your contributions, your sources, your pictures, wallpapers, tweets, friendship and support!
So on behalf of Mel, Anna, Lorri, Jess, Jen and Vicky, we wish you and yours a very happy, healthy, prosperous 2011 and may it bring you everything you wish for!
Be Safe
xoxo
Bee

MTV looks back on Twilight in 2010
MTV is looking back at 2010, and has a slideshow of it's favourite 'Twilight Moments'.
1. Robert Pattinson on Crazy 'Twilight' Merchandise
In case it won't play for you, heres a brief transcript from Team-Twilight.
Gigandet said that, although there are vampires involved in the movie, fans expecting the romantic “Twilight”-style vamps will be in for a shock.
“It’s very, very different from ‘Twilight,’ ” he said. “The similarities kind of end with what they’re called, which is vampires.”
Gigandet said the world of “Priest,” directed by Scott Charles Stewart, is also entirely different. “The world Scott created is kind of unlike any other,” he said. “Sometimes it was hard to visualize what he had in his mind, but I’ve seen clips, and its unbelievable. … Just to work with all of these people, they’re such an amazing cast. I didn’t have any doubts [about taking on another vampire-related role].”
Gigandet’s co-star, “Star Trek” star Karl Urban, said he’s never seen a movie like this. “This is a post-apocalyptic vampire western,” he said. “The emphasis isn’t heavily on the fact — it’s not like a ‘vampire film’; there’s so much more to it.”
As far as what “Twilight” fans can expect to see, and fans of the original comic book, Gigandet and his co-stars said there is something for everyone in the film, because it is emotional and character-driven.
“[There are] so many different levels, and so many people are doing things that sacrifice for all sorts of love,” Gigandet said. “It’s not just one set love story. There are so many different levels going on.”

Yay! only 328 days left till Breaking Dawn! :)
But really, it's not important when you realise that it's our Blogger, Bee's, birthday!
Hope you've signed her card ;)
What day is it, again?
In case you didn't know, today is a very special day - December 24th 2010.
Why are we reminding you of this, you ask?
Well, it's because today marks the birth of the two most amazing writers I know [of].
- Stephanie Meyer, AKA the creater of our Twilight world.
- Bee Whelan, AKA IrishTwiFicster, and founder of this blog! :)
Yes, it's Bee's birthday!! *Que cheering*
As a side note, if you haven't read her fanfics yet, you're missing out!
Even Robert Pattinson himself loves them! (Okay, I may be stretching the truth just a little bit there.)
But he did drop by to play her a birthday song. ;)
*Swoon* Thanks, Rob...
We have also created a very special birthday e-card for her, so please click here to leave her a message!
Remember, today is all about Bee, so join in the fun and tweet, or comment your best wishes to her, and join us in saying...
"Happy Birthday, Bee!"
From every one reading and writing at ITS.
We love you long time, lady! :)

‘Breaking Dawn’ Stars Visit Louisiana Children’s Hospital
Bella and Jacob are the most popular baby names of 2010!
Taken from The East Valley Tribune:
"Followers of the “Twilight” series are apparently reproducing.
For the first time ever, the name Bella cracked the Top 20 for the names that parents gave to their newborn girls born this year in Arizona.
A year earlier, it managed to rank just 77th on the list.
But the popularity of the novels, and the movies that have followed — and of heroine Bella Swan — apparently does not translate across the gender barrier when parents are choosing names for their sons.
The popularity list provides no indication of who is on “Team Jacob’’ and who is on "Team Edward", as viewers [of the film] have divided their loyalties between the werewolf and the vampire.
It’s true that Jacob is the most popular name for boys. But that’s not new: It also placed there last year — and a decade earlier.
And Edward? Still not popular. It didn’t even crack the Top 100."
