'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1' gets a PG-13 rating from the MPAA

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) has given The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 a PG-13 rating, according to, for "disturbing images, violence, sexuality/partial nudity and some thematic elements."

The rating should come as no surprise for anyone who's paid attention to the stated intentions of the filmmakers on this. PG-13 was the issued rating for Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and while Breaking Dawn contains many more intensified scenes than the previous three, the demographic remains the same.

Do you think it's interesting, at all, the reasons cited for the PG-13 rating for Breaking Dawn, though?

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 hits theaters on November 18th.
