MTV's 'Next Movie' blog, recently got a chance to chat with David Slade ahead of the DVD release of Eclipse this weekend. The full interview isn't up yet, but below is an extract from what is posted:
We discussed a lot of the things at the script-writing stage — at one point, we were even going to shoot the wedding at the end of ["Eclipse"] but we knew there was another film coming”

Are you happy that we didn't get the wedding? Or do you think they made a huge mistake by not putting it in?
Personally I'm glad they didn't put it in. I think David Slade was well chosen as a director of action scenes - let's see what Mr. Condon does about the romance ;-)
