"Filming for "Eclipse," the movie based on the third installment of the Twilight series made famous by Stephenie Meyer, is already officially underway.
According to MTV UK, music video director David Slade has taken over for "New Moon" director Chris Weitz and has already begun shooting in Vancouver, Canada.
Slade stirred up some controversy three months ago among fans when he apparently made some insulting comments about the vampire saga on a comedy film short he was working on.
MSNBC reports that Slade later ended up apologizing to one of the largest Twilight fan sites in the world, saying that he "would like to reassure everyone involved that I am invested in making the best film that I am humanly capable of, and that I am acutely aware of the power of the original books we serve."
Hopefully fans can rest assured, as "Eclipse" is finally in the making."
