We declare Friday, March 9th to be... National Pattinson Day!! (For Ireland ;-])

This Friday, March 9th sees the official release of Robert Pattinson's newest film 'Bel Ami' in Ireland. 

Having seen it back in February when it debuted during the JDIFF, I can't say enough good things about it! 

Robert Pattinson plays a failed, penniless ex-soldier who sleeps his way to fortune, using the wives of rich men. While the critic-reviews haven't been too nice (are they ever?), I can promise you that if you give it a chance, you will enjoy it!! :)

Friday also sees the release of Breaking Dawn Part 1 
on DVD in Ireland (YAY!),
 and to celebrate, Vue Cinemas in Liffey Valley (Dublin) are putting on three late-night showings of Breaking Dawn over the weekend, at the following times:

• Saturday    10 March   23:15
• Sunday      11 March   20:40

To celebrate next month's release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 in Irish Cinemas, we've partnered up with Irish Twilight Fans and Vue Cinemas to offer three lucky people a chance to win a pair of tickets to Vue's Twiathlon on Nov. 17th.

And that's not all! 
Two runners-up will each receive a pair of tickets to the midnight screening of Breaking Dawn!

Twiathlon tickets include a Vue-ing (see what we did there?!) of Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse (beginning at 4:30PM on Thursday Nov. 17th) and leads in to a screening of Breaking Dawn at 0:01AM on Friday, November 18th!

It's easy!

All you need to do is show us how big of a Twilight Fan you are, by emailing us at competition@irishtwilightfans.com  by 10PM on Saturday, October 29th,  with a picture that proves the extent of your obsession! We will then pick our favourite five entries and add the pictures to an album on the Irish Twilight Fans Facebook page, where other Twilight-Fans can choose what type of ticket each entry gets, by 'liking' their favourite image. Tickets will be awarded by the total amount of 'likes' each image has 10PM on Wednesday, November 2nd.*

You can send us anything you want - from a picture of you dressed up in a Twilight-outfit, to your Twi-Shrine-Wall, a tattoo you may have, or even just a picture showing us how many books you have!

Entries must be received by 10PM on Saturday October 29th, and the winners will be announced on Wednesday, November 2nd.

So hurry up and find that camera! The clock is ticking ;)

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, starring the one and only Robert Pattinson, is being shown at Vue Cinema, Dublin, on Monday 11th July 2011.

**NEWS** Twilight Saga - Irish Triple Screening Cinema Event

Irish Twilight Sisters and Irish Twilight Fans along with Vue Cinemas are launching the Midnight Screening of Eclipse on July 2nd at 00.01. 


Last year over a thousand Irish Twilight Fans gathered at Vue Cinemas, Liffey Valley for the midnight screening of New Moon, and this year fans are going to do the same for Eclipse. However this year, there will be a band playing from 10.30pm, we will be giving away prizes on the night and best of all, fans can see Twilight and New Moon in the big screen that very same night before the midnight show!


Twilight will start at 7pm, followed by a short interval then New Moon. There is approximetly 30 minutes between New Moon and Eclipse where you can come out and see the band, get some more popcorn and meet other Irish Twilight fans. Feel like dressing up? Fans did last year...there will prizes for that too!

Midnight Showing of New Moon @ VUE Cinemas Dublin

And this is me looking very tired after queueing for 6 hours to be first in the queue - me and my girls (all 12 of them) ended up in the VIP seats - so worth it.
