Eclipse leads MTV Movie Awards Nominations

The nominations for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards were announced this morning, with Eclipse snagging eight nominations:

• Best Movie: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
  
  
• Best male performance: Robert Pattinson
• Best male performance(2): Taylor Lautner
  
  
• Best female performance: Kristen Stewart
  
  
• Best kiss: Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson
• Best Kiss(2): Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner
  
  
• Best fight: Robert Pattinson vs. Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel
  
  
• Best breakout star: Xavier Samuel

The award show will air on June 5th, from the Gibson Amphitheatre, California, with "Saturday Night Live" regular Jason Sudeikis as host. 
Voting opened today, and closes Saturday, June 4th, however, the best movie category will remain open for voting throughout the live show.

Anna Kendrick joins the film 'Rature-Palooza'

Anna Kendrick has joined the film Rapturepalooza, along with Freaks and Geeks and Bones star John Francis Daley.

THR reports that Anna Kendrick and John Francis Daley (who will always be Sam Weir to us) have joined Craig Robinson in the still terribly named “Rapture-Palooza.” Described as “Zombieland” meets “The Big Lebowski” (attention filmmakers: if you want your movie to get made, go in with that pitch) and written by Chris Matheson (the ‘Bill & Ted’ movies), the story “takes place a year after a religious apocalypse strips away half the world’s population. Ben and Lindsey try to reestablishing their sandwich cart business. Beyond the occasional blood rainstorm and talking locusts that surface occasionally, the sandwich sellers have a new problem: the Anti-Christ (Robinson) decides he wants to take Lindsey as his bride.”
